President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed former Kajiado County senator Peter ole Mositet to chair board of Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority.
Mositet thanked the president for the appointment and said is committed to ensure the president’s executive orders are implemented on time to improve the country’s economy.
“I thank God first and our president since he does not forget his people, I also thank people who have been praying for me,” he said.
Mositet who spoke with County Press added that he has received many congratulatory messages from friends and assured them that is ready to serve with dedication.
Politician Peter ole Musei was also appointed chairman of the board of Consolidated Bank Limited.
Another Politician Alex ole Magelo was appointed by Cabinet Secretary of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives Betty Maina as member of the board of Kenya Leather Development Council.
In a gazette notice on 7th August, 2020 the three will serve for a term of 3 years with effect from 7th August 2020.
Mositet is the first senator for Kajiado County 2013-17; he lost in Jubilee nominations to Senator Philip Mpayei in a disputed nomination.
Musei vied for Kajiado North parliamentary position in 2017 in Wiper Party,
Magelo who is a former Nairobi County Assembly Speaker, contesting for Kajiado West parliamentary seat on Jubilee Party.
