Kajiado North Sub County MCAs  have accused Governor Joseph ole Lenku of neglecting their region in projects ,which top in revenue contribution.
The MCAs Mwathi Pere (Rongai),Onesmus Ngogoyo( nominated), Robert Sungura (Ngong),Peter Gitau (Olker),James Ndirangu Waicha ( Nkaimurunya), Violet Wahinya ( nominated) in a meeting chaired by chief whip Martin Kimemia ( Oloolua) claimed the Governor has sidelined the region and has failed to allocate them flagship projects.

In the Monday meeting where they drafted a protest letter to Lenku, they claimed the governor has sidelined them in employment, adding that the latest appointment of Revenue Directors no-one from their region was considered.
They also took issue with the latest Water Boards appointment by the National Government where former politicians  benefited ,  but no leader from the region benefited. “In his cabinet Lenku only appointed one CECM from North against the agreed two from two tribes,” they said.
On the Municipality which covers their area, they  claimed Lenku’s government has not held public participation forums. They also raised issue on effect of SGR tunnel on the water sources,  saying all the water is deviated to Kajado West and thus leading to rivers drying up in Kajiado North.
The MCAs also protested a move by the county to use private firm to demand for land rates by backdating it to 2014 without consultation and public participation.
This is the first-ever meeting the MCAs have held protesting to the governor for allegedly neglecting the  region. The meeting was well attended with nominated MCAs Lucy Wachuka and Richard  Lenana sending apology.
