The results show that there are more women at 23,548,056 than men, who stand at 24,014,716 million.
Kajiado and Narok counties are among counties that have seen their population double, Kajiado County 1,117, 840 million people with Narok having Narok County 1,157,873 million.
Ten years ago the population of Kajiado was 687,312 people that of Narok being 850,920.
The most populous counties are Nairobi (4.3 million), Kiambu (2.4 million), Nakuru (2.1million), Kakamega (1.8 million) and Bungoma (1.6 million).
The least popolous counties are Lamu (143,920), Isiolo (268,002), Samburu (310,327), Tana River (315,943) and Taita Taveta (340,671).
The growth of Kajiado County cosmopolitan towns Ongata Rongai ,Kitengela, Ngong, is said to be the reason the population doubled in Kajiado County . The regions control more than half of the population of the county. In Narok the town has doubled growth in Narok County.
