A Kajiado North sub county lobby group has defended Governor Joseph ole Lenku’s development record in the sub county.
The group chaired by Josephat Ole Mayian Marigi held a meeting in Matasia Olkeri Ward accusing the region MCAs of sabotaging Lenku’s leadership for personal gains.
They said the governor has employed people from the region and has initiated several projects.
Joseph Muchiri said they want direct contact to the governor and they do not trust their MCAs anymore “The MCAs have no power we can demand want we want from the governor without involving them,” he said.
Kiarie Mageuzi said the governor was not elected to employ people but to create environment for self-employment.
They called for unit of leaders in Jubilee party for development to happen, they said they support fight on corruption by President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto.

Paul Kaaka from Rimpa said Senator Philip Mpaayei and women representative Janet Teiyaa have failed to provide leadership, he challenged the two leaders to come out and hold meetings with electorates to listen to their grievances.
The MCAs are still in “cold war” with Lenku even after a meeting in his office, an MCA who sought anonymity said they did not agree on several issues they had raised but Chief whip Martin Kimemia maintained that the governor was trying to solve matters that they had raised.
