Kajiado hospitals have received oxygen supply equipment thus boosting their capacity to handle patients effectively.
Over the years all kajiado health facilities did not have oxygen equipment prompting patients to travel or be referred to neighboring counties.
In a new health milestone, the County Government has acquired more than 140 oxygen equipment which are set to be distributed to at least 100 health facilities.
The oxygen equipment, together with their gas cylinders were delivered to the County yesterday following a programme in partnership with Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI).
Kajiado Health Services CECM Esther Somoire said the oxygen will be replenished on need basis with bigger hospitals receiving at least two cylinders.
