Jubilee rubbishes Kores’ zoning, maintains it will field candidates in all positions

Jubilee Party deputy party leader Peter Mositet has hit back at politician Tarayia ole Kores after he claimed ODM Party will field candidates in certain regions in Kajiado County.

Kores had endorsed governor Joseph ole Lenku(Jubilee) and ODM nominated senator Judy Pareno for senatorial position, the politician also claimed ODM Party had reached a consensus to field candidates for woman representative position and MPs seats in Kajiado Central, North and East constituencies others will be left to Jubilee party under Azimio la Umoja Movement.

“We will share positions under Azimio, Jubilee will field 12 MCAs candidates while ODM will take 13 we have given them the governor who is governor Lenku,” Kores said on Wednesday after dropping his governor bid.

Mositet who spoke with county Press said what the politician proposed was his personal opinion which does not hold water and should not be taken serious.

“Kores is a nobody and is speaking in what capacity as who, is trying to make himself relevant, for Pareno she should tell us her achievements, Jubilee will retain all its seats the two should lie low like an envelope and wait for us to take Raila to statehouse since they had failed,” he said.

A section of ODM aspirants led by Kores, senator Pareno ,MCAs Daniel Naikuni ( ODM)and Joshua Olowuasa (Wiper)had held a meeting in a Rongai hotel and endorsed Lenku as their preferred candidate. Some members who did not participate said the endorsement was not the party’s position.

Kajiado County ODM Party Organizing Secretary Bashash Abdi said the meeting was for aspirants and the party officials are not aware of the endorsement. He said Kores is not an official of the party.

After the endorsement Lenku held a meeting with several aspirants who he urged to vote for him in Jubilee Party nomination.

He said he welcomes the endorsement and is ready to defend his position.

As Kores endorsed Lenku former Kajiado West MP Moses Sakuda also endorsed Nkedianye, Sakuda is vying for senate position.

Mositet called on Jubilee aspirants to embrace their Party and Kajiado as a Jubilee zone, the party will field candidates in all elected positions except presidency and its gubernatorial aspirants Nkedianye and Lenku will face off in nominations.

The party had extended aspirants registration deadline to March 22nd 2022.

Several aspirants have decamped from ODM Party after governor aspirant David Nkedianye left the party, the latest to leave the party is Kajiado East Constituency MP aspirant Daniel Kanchori who was cleared to compete in nominations in Jubilee.

He was elected Oloosirkon Ward MCA in 2013 to 2017 but lost Jubilee nominations in 2017 and later joined governor Lenku’s government in governor’s delivery unit department.

Kajiado West Constituency MP aspirant Joseph Simel who vied in ODM in 2017 also decamped from the Party to Jubilee. Others who joined Jubilee are John Parit (Kajiado South) and Moses Birisha (central).

Kajiado County Woman aspirant Simaiya Rakita also defected to Jubilee Party, several MCAs aspirants have also left the party.
