The National Government has maintained that all Huduma Centre offices are under covid-19 protocols and people should visit the offices for services.
This is after distributing face masks and hand sanitizers to protect staff and service seekers from contracting Covid-19 virus. Mary Kimonye Principal Administrative Secretary State Department for Public Service in the Ministry of Public Service Youth and Gender said the government has put measures to prevent further spread of Covid-19 disease.
“The ministry will ensure that you get services from Huduma Centres without fear of getting infected with Covid-19,” she said. The PS had visited the Kajiado Central and West Centres to find out what is needed to improve services offered in the centres Speaking in Kisamis Huduma Centre in Kajiado West Sub County ,Kimonye said fumigation will be done in need basis in all Huduma Centres, the Nairobi CBD Huduma Centre fumigation is done every after two weeks.
The government will also adopt Huduma Centre digital system in the country. In Huduma Centre GPO in Nairobi County, service seekers are required to book appointment prior to their visit, this will reduce congestion in the offices. Huduma Kenya would gradually be rolling out services by appointment system.
The National Oil Corporation of Kenya (NOCK) CEO Morintat Leparan said the state corporation will continue to distribute face masks and sanitizers to all Huduma Centres offices in the country.
The government will also continue distributing Mwanainchi gas to curb cutting down of trees for charcoal.
