Deputy President William Ruto recently launched the construction of Kajiado/ Mashuuru/Isara road in Kajiado
County. The 48 km road connects Kajiado town and Loitokitok/Emali road through Mashuuru and Isara. It has been in terrible condition for the last three years.
Residents of Mashuuru Sub County have been travelling through Sultan Hamud to Mombasa highway to connect with Athi River before heading to Kajiado County headquarters to seek services. Ruto said the construction of Njukini/Illasit/
Loitokitok road to connect Taita Taveta County was also scheduled to start. He was speaking after briefly inspecting the Kajiado/ Mashuuru road. He later flew to Loitokitok where he held a public rally and urged residents to register as voters
in large numbers to vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The Jubilee Government, he said, had done a lot in Kajiado County to uplift the lives of the people in region. The Deputy President said a constructor is already on site for the reconstruction of the Ngong/Kiserian/Isinya road which had remained
in a dilapidated condition for the last five years. He said the Jubilee administration had spent Sh800 million to revamp Loitokitok Sub County hospital.
While addressing a crowed in Loitokitok in company of Kajiado South MP, Katoo ole Metito and Governor aspirant Daniel Nina, the DP did not campaign for any particular Jubilee Party candidate. A candidate for Kajiado South parliamentary seat on a Party of National Unity ticket, Chief John Lalaito, had cautioned the Presidency against campaigning for any candidate in Kajiado South.
