Beacon of Hope donates equipment to polytechnic

Beacon of Hope in Ongata Rongai has donated equipment to the newly opened Olekasasi Polytechnic in Ongata Rongai Ward.
The organization donated sewing machines and computers and promised to donate more equipment.
The organization’s Director Jane Wathome said her organization will work closely with the Kajiado County Government to support the community. Beacon of Hope started in 2002 and has greatly supported the County community.
Governor David Nkedianye praised the Director for the supporting public institutions and invited  more organizations to work with the County Government to improve the residents’ living standards. He promised to allocate more money for equipping polytechnic.
The Polytechnic was put up via partnership between Kajiado North Constituency and Kajiado County Government, but had not been equipped those enrolled had been taking only theory classes.
The community through the polytechnic representative urged the Governor and the area Member of Parliament to allocate funds for construction of more classrooms, employ tutors  and purchase more equipment.
