A Narok legislator has petitioned the Government to enforce the law on the accessibility to public offices by persons living with disabilities to enable them enjoy government services like other citizens.
Narok Woman Representative Soipan Tuya who spoke at Narok Youth Centre during the Persons With Disabilities civic education said that it will be ironical to set aside funds to support special interest groups yet they cannot access the offices.
“Access to public offices by the persons living with disabilities is a right enshrined in the constitution but it is sad that some public buildings are yet to comply with this law and in the process denying this group of people their right to access services like other Kenyans,” averred Ms Soipan.
