Youth team saves needy secondary school student

Gideon Sipala Suiyinga , 14, completed his primary school last year at Entonet Primary School and scored  378 marks. Sipala was admitted to Oloitoktok Boys High School but failed to report to the coveted school due to lack of school fees challenge . The boy comes from a very humble background.

His mother, Kakenia Ene Sipala is a peasant farmer and a small scale business woman. She has two daughters at Olchoro Secondary School, one in Form Two and the other in Form Four. Sipala had applied for Wings’ to Fly’ the popular Equity Bank scholarship but unfortunately, he was not considered.

Sipala’s mother asked her son to go back to Standard Six so as to join Form One by the time his two sisters will have finished their course. The youth across the County intervened to raise the school fees for the boy through social media.

They also called on the  County leaders to intervene and urged Entonet/Lekisim Ward MCA Benjamin ole Kool to allocate more money  for needy students.
