Narok Governor Samuel Tunai has asked the county security team to arrest culprits of child abuse when schools are closed due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Tunai regretted that the increase cases of defilement, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and child labour was negatively affecting the young generation.
“Parents too risk being punished severely according to the law for exposing their children to retrogressive cultural practices that are against the laws of the country,” he said.
He spoke at the county headquarters after meeting members of the Emergency and Response Committee and top security officers led by County Commissioner Samuel Kimiti( outgoing)
