Two worrying factions of the Maasai communities in Transmara West have finally agreed to solve a long standing boundary dispute in the area so as to end conflict among them.
During a meeting midwifed by local leaders, it was agreed that border lines had to be drawn in the area dividing the two clans in order to solve the dispute.
The Siria and Uasingishu clans who have been in conflict over 40 years over land parcels in Transmara West that has resulted in fights finally agreed.
According to Narok County Commissioner Samuel Kimiti, the long standing conflict had brought about severe clan clashes.
Gideon Sitelu Konchella Transmara West Member of Parliament lauded the efforts made by the County Government in bringing people together.
