A former Kenya Defense Forces Major, Ali Noor has called on Kajiado County residents to elect educated leaders to improve development of the County.

The Ongata Rongai resident who has announced bid for MCA said some Kajiado North Wards are poorly developed due to uneducated leaders.

I support the Bill in the National Assembly to ensure Members of the County Assembly to have atleast a Diploma and the Members of National Assembly to have atleast a degree, we need educated leaders,” he said adding that the MCAs play important role in the assembly and must be well equipped through education.

In an event in Olekasasi area which was attended by Kajiado North politicians Malik Mureu, Andrew Nyangwansa and Ali Abdulrahman, Noor said uneducated leaders should not be allowed to lead the County in the next government since they are leading the citizens to the wrong direction.

He said that the uneducated MCAs have been hindering development of the County but praised the Governor David Nkedianye for displaying good.

Most Kajiado County MCAs have gone back to class scared of being locked out if the new Bill is passed.
The politician called on the National Government to stop discrimination in issuing Identity cards, they said the government is too strict to members of Muslim community in acquiring the important documents.

His rival Kepha Miller supported the Bill in Assembly but was quick to point out that leadership is more than what you acquire in class, is not about how educated you are, he said that education is needed to help leaders interpret issues but leadership needs skills acquired out of class.
