Kajiado County First Lady Edna Lenku has called on parents to stop hiding children with Autism and Cerebral palsy.
Lenku said parents should register the children with the county to help in planning on how to ensure they access treatment in county hospitals.
Speaking during a One day Free Medical camp in Our Lady of Fatuma Church Nkaimurunya Ward for screening and treating the children, Lenku said many parents hide the children from accessing treatment .
The data at Kajiado County of treated cases of Autism is 14 and Cerebral Palsy being 25 children. This reveals that most parents have hidden their kids in their homes.
More than 250 children were brought for the one day free medical camp; this disclosed that there are many children who have been hidden from accessing medical services.
