Raila, leaders pay last respect to MP Memusi’s wife

Azimio la Umoja Presidential candidate Raila Odinga on Tuesday led leaders in paying last respect to Stella Memusi wife to Kajiado Central MP Memusi Kanchori at their home in Ildamat , Kajiado Central.

Raila said the deceased was a great woman and leader who supported the MP in every project that he did.

Speaking during the funeral service the ODM Party leader described her as a woman who was always ready to support the community.

The deceased died in a grisly road accident along Namanga Road near Isinya town, Raila condemned traffic police of letting the stalled lorry abandoned on the high way for many days, he noted that the accident would have not occurred if it was moved from the road in few hours.

He said police should perform their duties, the leader also called for arrest of police officers involved in shooting of four people in Masimba in Kajiado East human wildlife conflict demonstration.

“Police have lost their mandate of protecting people, we need police service not old police system, they should respect people, you should not shoot people like antelopes” he said.

He said in his government there will be police reforms.

The service was attended by several leaders among them Peter Kenneth, CS Keriako Tobiko, governor Joseph ole Lenku , former governor David Nkedianye, senator Ledama ole Kina, nominated senator Judy Pareno, MPs Joseph Manje,George Sunkuyia among other leaders.

The leaders kept off county politics and instead campaigned for election of Odinga , Memusi had requested them not to politic in the funeral.
