Police are on the hunt for a man, believed to have stabbed his wife to death on Tuesday in Oloolua Ward, Kajiado North Sub County.
The man who was identified as Daniel Nyaga is accused of committing the murder before disappearing in a motorbike.
The deceased who was identified as Mary Wanjiku, 32 year old, had three children and had lived with the suspect for 14 years.
Kajiado North sub county police Commander Rashid Mohamed said the victim was taken to Ngong hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
“We are still tracking him, the neighbors say they saw him entering the deceased’s house and later there were commotions,” he said. He added that investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
According to neighbors they heard screams from the house and found out the victim had been stabbed, she was rushed to hospital but succumbed to injuries.
They said the man vanished before neighbors found out what had happened.
The relatives indicated that their marriage was on the rocks, and the man had been accused of infidelity.
There have been several unsuccessful meetings to solve the marital issues. The deceased had left the husband and moved to another house a week ago. She had informed neighbors to protect her incase anything happens.
The departed was a trader in Ngong town and had been recruited in the National Hygiene Program popularly known as Kazi Mtaani in Oloolua Ward.
