Peninah Naserian Sayialel was awarded the best Model of The Year in Eastern Talanta Awards 2021.
The 25-year-old, from Kajiado West Constituency, beat seven contestants at the highly contested competition held in Kitengela, Kajiado East.
The event had participants from Kajiado, Machakos, Makueni and Kitui counties who were awarded in different categories.
Naserian, an Agri-Business graduate displayed the best traditional attires, stylish gowns and creative art with confidence.
The overjoyed Naserian has participated in a number of modeling events and was previously crowned Miss Nkurumani, in Kajiado West.
“I’m looking forward to having my own rescue centre so that girls can be rescued from FGM and early marriages. I also want to use this recognition to mentor young people through my modeling agency, Naserian centre.” she said during her thanksgiving event held in Kiserian.
Naserian has already registered the Naserian Girl Child Initiative and partnered with Happy Faces Foundation to support less fortunate families.
The model, who is also a parttime modern farmer, called for support from the county government and other organizations.
Kajiado East Member of Parliament Peris Tobiko urged the government to put aside resources to support the youth so that they don’t engage in illegal activities.
Deejay of the year Deejay Queen and Male Artist of the year Daniel Ole Makau were among those awarded from Kajiado.
