Narok Governor Issues cheques to Ward groups

Narok County Governor Samuel ole Tunai has issued cheques worth Sh 231.6 million to 600 groups in 20 electoral Wards.

Tunai applauded the best performing Ward Ololmasani and the most improved wards Melili and Narok Township.

Speaking at Entinki primary school in Melili ward Tunai said he will facilitate community Driven Development Committees for effectiveness.

He also issued 20 motorcycles and 2 Isuzu double Cabin motor vehicles to ward agriculture officers to enhance staff mobility.

The CECM for Agriculture John Marindany thanked the governor for attending the launch of the Narigp projects. 

 The coordinator for Narigp Ann S. Saranta organized the successful event and said that implementation will start immediately after the launch.

She said that there will be disclosure barazas at the Ward level on the CIGs funded by the Narigp project.

She added that they have funded 600 CIGS groups and expect to fund 730 more groups.Implementation of component 2 and 3 are underway.
