Management University of Africa (MUA) staff and students recently took part in a clean-up exercise in Isinya town. The 32 students accompanied by five staff members joined the local community in a clean-up campaign dubbed ‘Maisha Masafi’ that was flagged off by the area MCA Hon. Joshua Olowuasa. The MCA was accompanied by five Environmental Co-ordinators from his office. The team divided themselves into sub-teams that swept streets, cleared clogged drainages and gutters at the local market and in Majengo, Frontline, Target estates.
Before the clean-up exercise started, Olowuasa urged the students to be good ambassadors of their institution by exercising unity and peaceful co-existence as they strive towards the common goal of ensuring Isinya town is spotless.
“The clean-up exercise is a great initiative by the students and staff of MUA and I am proud to be part of this noble initiative. I thank all the students and staff members for organizing such an event,” MCA Olowuasa said.
“As you do this, you should also remember that education is power. Therefore, you should all strengthen your efforts in school and keep working hard because our country is dependent on such efforts,” Olowuasa added.
