Moran boxers receive boxing equipment from Keen

Kajiado County businessman Anthony Keen has awarded Kajiado county boxers under Kajiado Boxing Association boxing equipment.

Keen who is the patron of the association said the equipment are crucial to the boxers as they prepare for National Novices Boxing Championships.

The businessman who has been supporting the boxers said he will look for more sponsorship to ensure the boxers participate in major tournaments.

“Use your skills in the right way, it is political period do not be misused by politicians to cause chaos,” he said.

The boxers commended the sponsor for supporting them with equipment and finance assistance during tournaments, the boxers said they have been struggling to have sponsorship to enable them to run the Association activities.

They do not have enough boxing equipment mostly gloves, pads, punching bag, skipping ropes, track suits, running shoes etc.

The Kajiado County Novices team selection was held on August 28th 2021 after along break due to Covid-19. Several boxers were selected. The competition was held in Maasai Mall grounds Ongata Rongai and attracted hundreds of spectators.

The association was registered in February 2020 and has five clubs, namely Ongata Rongai Boxing Club, Beasthouse Boxing Club, Ongata Rongai Lions Den Boxing Club and Ngong Boxing Club. It currently has 110 boxers in our Association.
