The suspect was ambushed by a mob and killed after being identified by a Form Two student who had been raped during the robbery incident few days earlier. One other suspect escaped while another one  was badly injured but was rescued by police.

The deceased is said to have been working as a security guard in a house under construction in the area. The other two suspects are also  alleged to be security guards.

Meanwhile, in Ongata Rongai on Thursday night robbers broke into shops in Kingdom Hall Road opposite Tuskys stage and stole a sewing machine from a clothing shop and other equipment from other shops.

Last month, they had also raided the area making away with shop items. No one has been arrested in connection with the robberies.  The shop owners said they are losing a lot of stuff and challenged police to increase patrols in the area.
