Long awaited Champagne 4 x 4 challenge will be held this weekend in Kipeto Champagne Park in Kajiado County.
The event will start on Saturday with off-road training, camping in the bush with country music in the evening by Sir Elvis and Kareh B, in what the organizers call “Country Music in the Bush.”
On Sunday it will be the 4 x 4 competition starting at 8AM , awards will be issued in the evening, spectators have been asked to get their advance tickets at sh 800 adult and sh 300 kids, tickets will also be sold at the venue.
On March this year competitions in the venue Team Wazimu Dipak Kerai and co-driver Dilip Dinesh in Toyota Land cruiser V8emerged top in expert official category Anton took second position with Vaisain Kishore taking third place.
In Intermediate category Prajibot Saimbi /Antarjot Saimbi in Toyota Land cruiser took position one followed by Joe Mwaura, Thiemo Esberger took position three.
In Beginner category Erick Kimathi /Hosiah in Suzuki Escando won Beginner category, followed by Khush Halai/Ashwini Halai third position was taken by Dennis Mbaabu.
Driver of the day was Leon Kimathi, Overall Driver Thiemo. The drivers and fans had camped in the area for two days.
The event promotes locals tourism in Kajiado County since the participants and spectators are from all over the country.
The 4 Wheel Drive Challenge is one of the most exciting events in the country for motor lovers and off road experience for drivers.
