Kajiado County Government has awarded several Kajiado North residents employment letters after accusations of sidelining the region in employment.

Governor Joseph ole Lenku had been accused by Kajiado North MCAs of neglecting their region in projects and employment.

The MCAs had held a meeting on Monday raising several issues that the Governor needs to address among them employment.

According to sources, the Governor personally called several people on Wednesday (yesterday) ordering them to collect their employment letters from the county headquarters.

Among those who have received employment letters is a controversial diehard Jubilee supporter Ann Wamboi alias Kiwoman from Kiserian, Olkeri Ward.

Speaking with this reporter Wamboi confirmed that she received the letter on Wednesday. “Am busy applying for required documents to report to work on Monday, I thank the Governor,” she said.

Pastor Muiruri from the same Ward also received revenue officer letter. Several individuals are also still camping in the Public Service offices in county headquarters to receive their employment letters.

The two beneficiaries rubbished claimed that the MCAs had pushed for their employment; they claimed the leaders were pushing for their agenda for personal gains and have been sidelining them by allegedly proposing relatives to get employed.

The MCAs presser has caused a political storm in the county with the electorate supporting them with others against them; youth accused the MCAs of not being truthful, claiming the Governor was misled to employ their relatives and close friends from one tribe who took 30% of minority positions.
