Lenku says Jubilee and OKA will form 2022 government

Kajiado County Governor Joseph ole Lenku has said One Kenya Alliance (OKA) and Jubilee Party will form 2022 government.

The governor who ushered OKA principals Gideon Moi (KANU), Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) and Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) in Kajiado North and East said the leaders are president Uhuru Kenyatta’s friends and will form the next government. “In Jubilee we will have friends and they will sit together with Uhuru and form 2022 government,” he said.

Musyoka said the governor should join OKA “We trust Lenku and we welcome him to join OKA,” The former Vice president said OKA will form the next government and some of their manifestos is free secondary education and corruption free nation.

He said their government will also fix sewerage challenges facing the Kajiado electorates.

KANU Party chairman Gideon Moi said their government will be an inclusive government that will accommodate all communities.

One of the OKA principal Musalia Mudavadi who was missing in the Kajiado tour revealed that he missed the rally but he was still a member of the alliance.

“I am human, I went through medical stress and I could not be in a public rally this weekend but from next week, I will be back on course,” he said.

There has been pressure on the principals to declare Mudavadi as the presidential candidate.

“We’re giving OKA up to 25 December to declare Mudavadi as the presidential candidate” Senator Cleophas Malala said. Some Amani National Congress (ANC)leaders say they will walk out of the OKA alliance if their party leader is not picked as the flag bearer.

The principals were accompanied with leaders Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula, Cyrus Jirongo, George Kanene, Kilome MP Thaddeus Nzambia among others.

Lenku’s move of accompanying principals has been receiving criticism from his opponents on his trust with ODM leader Raila Odinga who is also vying for president. His rival gubernatorial aspirant Tarayia ole Kores had said the governor has failed to identify his preferred presidential candidate.

In what has been seen as a way of earning trust of Odinga Kajiado North MP Joseph Manje who deputized gubernatorial aspirant David Nkedianye accompanied the ODM leader to Lamu County on Sunday for campaigns.
