Kajiado County four matatu Saccos are among several Saccos suspended by National Transport and Safety Authority NTSA for failing to comply with provisions of the law.
The Saccos are Seven City Sacco, Gesarate Trade Links, Snowball Sacco and Kitengela Minibus.The Saccos plies Nairobi, Ongata Rongai and Nairobi,Machakos ,Athi River route.
Others include Smoke City, Single Line Services, Sunbird Services, Kazana Travellers, Angel Kings,Teachers Transporters and Kijabe Line Sacco.
According to NTSA regulations, public service vehicle (PSV) Saccos are required to operate a minimum of 30 vehicles the Saccos had failed to comply the suspension took effect on 18th October 2019.
The authority advised Members of the Public not to board any vehicles belonging to the suspended Saccos/Companies in order to avoid any inconveniences.
The Traffic Department was advised to impound any vehicles belonging to the 11 found operating contrary to the suspension.
