Kajiado police officer charged with defiling KCPE candidate

A police officer in Kajiado North Sub County has been arrested and charged after allegedly defiling a Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidate.

The officer was accused of defiling the pupil in his house in Ngong. He is based in Matasia Police Post and was detained after identified in a parade in Ngong Police Station by the victim,a pupil in Enomatasiani Primary School.

The 14 year old was defiled after detained by the officer; she had gone to the Matasia Police Post to record a statement on another case but detained without recording her statement.

It was reported that the officer took advantage of her and took her to his house in Ngong where he defiled her at night and later released her in the morning.

Her mother said her daughter spent Saturday night with the police officer and reported home in the following morning.

Kajiado North Sub County Police Commander Joseph Mwika said action will be taken against the police officer if found guilty.

“Investigations are ongoing, the child should be writing her examinations and should be protected,” he said. The pupil was allowed to write her examination as investigations continue.
