Kajiado North residents are benefiting from ongoing medical camp in Ngong sub county Level 4 hospital that was launched by CECM in charge of Health Esther Somoire on Monday.
Somoire urged locals to turn out for the free checkups. She said the County Government will continue partner with organizations to improve health of the people, adding that the county had increased personnel and improved services in the hospital.
Ngong Hospital Board member Haron Kimani who also doubles as chairman St Johns Ambulance said the doctors from USA are specialists in eye and dental treatment.
He said they will screen people before selecting deserving 200 cases to undergo surgery. The camp will be closed on Thursday.
Ngong Rotary Club President Irene Wamaitha said the club has started a long-term relationship with the hospital to address some of its challenges through private and public partnership.
Last year the club planted 4,000 trees in 13 schools around Ngong. Other partners supporting free medical camp are Nairobi Women Hospital and Ongata Rongai Rotary Club.
