Governor Lenku 2022 comeback in jeopardy as allies defect

By Kurgat Marindany

Imminent political turbulence sweeping across the eastern side of Kajiado is sending unfavourable signs to Governor Joseph ole Lenku ahead of next general election.

The threat is so real, according to former diehard supporters of Lenku, that those opposed to his administration have floated the name of former governor David Nkedianye as their 2022 candidate.

But Governor Lenku through his personal assistant, Daniel Kanchori, dismisses as “hot air” and “cheap political propaganda” all the claims and accusations directed at to the governor .

Kanchori claims that in every society, one cannot rule out the existence of people slaying around with nothing of substance, but to criticise others for just the sake of it without any substantive proof of their claims.
