Former Kajiado County Senatorial aspirant Caroline Chege has initiated a mentorship programme to impact and equip youth leaders with competency and confidence to participate in decision-making processes in the country.
Chege said she is educating the youth leaders to gain knowledge on the Values of a transformational leader, Policy making cycle, innovative problem solving, social responsibility and effective communication in public speaking.
“Change comes through transforming the mindset of youth leaders within our community to be the solution bearers, it is crucial to equip them before they attain power, pass the baton and leave legacy of values that will transform Kajiado County,” she explained.
The politician who participated in KTN’s Ms President competition said the programme focuses on supporting the youth who have consistently shown community leadership interest and active within their community.
The programme was held on 6th August 2019 and next will be in September 2019 that will be an Action project to apply the knowledge gained by the youth leaders.
