Security and authorities have been urged to protect victims and survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV).
The authorities had attended one day workshop in Kajiado County held by Community Based Organization, Forum for Women in Development, Democracy and Justice (FODDAJ) recently.
The workshop was targeting Security and local authorities and was on how to integrate GBV Survivor centered services into their operations, the facilitator urged them to put more effort in ensuring cases of GBV are dealt with on time.
The one-day workshop emphasized the need to support different departments to apply the knowledge of the local referral system to speed up access to services but also ensure that communities are aware about where to go and the focal persons dealing with different GBV cases.
