Deputy President William Ruto has cautioned government officers against intimidating people who host him.
The DP who attended the Olngesher Lool Ilmerishie ceremony of the Matapato clan at Maparasha Olchoro Oibor in Kajiado County said government administrators had intimidated the Matapato people for hosting him. He said the officers should face him rather than threatening locals.
“They were told that the ceremony will be cancelled if you host me, sorry to them, I was elected by the people of Kenya and am the deputy president,” he said.
The DP noted that regional commissioners and county commissioners should supervise government projects and keep off from politics.
The DP said his government has fulfilled a number of promises in the region and he will fix othe projects in 2022.
Kajiado County Senator Philip Mpayei requested the DP to tarmac the Loitoktok, Maparasha ,Magadi to Maasai Mara when he ascends to power in 2022.
MP Kimani Ichungwa(Kikuyu) claimed the government is planning to rig elections through biometric mass registration ( Huduma Numbers.
The ceremony was attended by several politicians among them Senators Mary Seneta , Millicent Omanga, Susan Kihika MPs George Sunkuyia, Kimani Ichungwa, Dismus Barasa, Aisha Juma, Sylvanus Osoro, Ole Sankok,Ole Lemein,Gabriel Tongoyo,Nickson Korir among others
