Donor water, school , hospital launched in Nkareta Narok

There was pomp and colour during launch of  Nairoshi water project in Naisoya sub location , Nkareta ward in  Narok North Sub County.

The occasion was presided over by Reverend Dr. Jackson Ole Sapit who thanked donors for the water, hospital and school project. It will improve the livelihoods of the residents.

He added the water capacity was 250 metres down and 10,000 litres can be pumped in one hour and the project will serve 18, 000 households.

Tom Wambulwa who is the country director for Yatima Outreach said that they offer education, missions to the needy, practice griculture and food production , health and nutrition, child protection and psychological support to the vulnerable children in Naisoya community.

Dr. Ray Diaz who is the president of Orphan Outreach said that they have already sponsored forty children from vulnerable families and in due course they would add 10.

Among the attendees present were Katherine Cheng’- vice president of programmes, Nancy Cheng _ Orphan Outreach team, Right Rev George Mechumo _ Bishop ACK Diocese of Bungoma, board chair Yatima Outreach Orphan and Sophy Awuor _ communications Specialist.

John Keleina Ole Nchoe  who is the chairman of Maasai Council of elders donated 5 acres of land for the construction of the project, he thanked donors for the support..

He assured donors he will lead the community in protecting the project.

He added that their children will greatly benefit and he said that he named the water project after his mother who had great vision in changing livelihoods of the residents and eradicating poverty.
